Crossroads Community Services
One of Crossroads’ primary goals is to ensure that all people in Dallas County have ready access to nourishing foods. Crossroads’ second primary goal is to provide life skills education that can help clients accomplish goals that are important to them. Crossroads provides clothing to in-house pantry clients as well as clients from The Stewpot. And, Crossroads partners with educational and medical institutions in Dallas County in order to seek more holistic solutions to deeply entrenched social and economic problems. Here's a look of what's been accomplished during 2017:
- Over 2.1 million lbs of food and over 105,000 articles of clothing distributed.
- Approximately 15,060 hours of volunteer service have been given by our core group of 135 regular volunteers, as well as 1,115 individuals from 130 different volunteer groups
Please join us at the Texins Fitness Center to board a Senior Source bus at 8:30 am. Volunteers will assist Crossroads “neighbors” in selecting grocery items and/or helping in the clothing distribution area. Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) and arrive back to the Texins Fitness Center by 1:30 pm. Please register your attendance by logging onto TIAlumni.org and click on the event’s name from the “Calendar” tab then fill out your registration information.
