Jan 29, 2024

On January 22, 2024  a heartwarming scene unfolded as a group of retirees dedicated their time to volunteer at Crossroads Community Services outreach.
With compassion in their hearts, these seniors generously assisted needy families, embodying the spirit of community and selflessness.
Their presence added a special touch, showcasing that age is no barrier to making a positive impact.

Crossroads Community Services is located off Cockrell Hill Road, which is the former location of the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). From their new 75,000 sq. ft. home, they are serving as the southern regional hub for NTFB and expanding their food distribution program.

Crossroads fulfills its mission through its programs and services. They provide nutritious food into the hands of low-income neighbors through their distribution network and in-house pantry. Each month, Crossroads serves approximately 1,000 residents living in Dallas through their Community Market. And through 150 distribution partners, they provide food assistance to communities throughout Dallas, Ellis, and Navarro counties. In 2022, they distributed 11 million pounds of food–enough for 9,166,666 meals!
