More Ways To Volunteer

During the year we frequently learn about other Dallas-area volunteer opportunities. Some are timed events while others are on-going opportunities.

City of Richardson Wildflower Art & Music Festival (Posted 4/12/22)

The Wildflower Art & Music Festival in Richardson is looking for volunteers. The event is May 20, 21, 22 at Galatyn Park Urban Center in Richardson.

If interested, you can view the schedule and sign up for an open shift with this link: . Once registered you will be contacted and given information on how to pick up your volunteer packet (t- shirt, parking, tickets) the week before the festival.

The majority of the shifts are at Gateways (entrances) to the festival and will be standing the duration of the shift. The only lifting might be to restock a box of programs for distribution.

Thank you for volunteering for this city event!

Hendrick Scholarship Foundation (posted 4/9/2021)

Hendrick Scholarship Foundation (HSF) is celebrating its 30th year of providing Plano ISD graduates who have overcome adversity with scholarships and support services to promote success in life through education. The program operates mostly on a volunteer basis to ensure that most of their fundraising goes directly to the students. Due to the engagement of our volunteers and the support services they provide, the students in the program go on to graduate at a higher rate than state and national averages.

Volunteer opportunities include: Student Coach, Student Field of Study Coordinator, Tutor, Internship Coordinator, Student Administrator, Administrative Assistant for Student Success, Grant Writer, Marketing, Technology, Website Support, Special Events and Fundraising.

For more information about HSF, go to their website at  and/or complete the Volunteer Interest form at…
