American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief in 2017

Aug 28, 2017

TI employees and retirees can help victims of Hurricane Harvey by making a tax-deductible contribution through a special fund set up by the TI Foundation. Hurricane Harvey struck Texas an unpresidented blow over the weekend, resulting in flooding and destruction in many cities and communities along the Gulf Coast, including Houston. The TI Foundation just voted to increase their contribution and will give an immediate $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey disaster relief.  Plus, through Sept. 30, the foundation will match employee and retiree contributions up to $100,000 made to the American Red Cross via a dedicated site. Gifts made through this site will automatically be matched by the TI Foundation with no further action required by donors. Anyone with questions about how to access the online contributions site or support relief efforts should contact Andy Smith, Executive Director, Texas Instruments Foundation at wasmith@ti.com.

If you wish to send a check instead, please make it payable to the American Red Cross and mail it to TIAA/ARC, P.O. Box 740181, Dallas TX 75374. Folks who donate by sending a check to the above address should send confirmation of their gift to Andy Smith to ensure matching funds.

TI’s Sugar Land office, located near Houston, will be closed until Sept. 5.
