The TIAA 2018 United Way campaign began April 9 and continues through April 25, with Dallas-area TIAA members doing their part to get involved and help their fellow North Texans.
Again this year, the TI Foundation will automatically match TI retiree donations to United Way up to $10,000, doubling the impact of your donation. All former TIers can contribute to the TIAA campaign, but only retiree donations are eligible for the TI Foundation match.
Giving back is part of our legacy at TI, and we have a rich history of working with United Way to improve our communities. Our company has been the largest aggregate corporate donor to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) since Erik Jonsson, one of the company's founders, helped start the United Way in Dallas in 1961.
Here's how you can support the United Way campaign:
- Give. The need in our community is bigger than ever. Any donation helps and even a small, one-time gift makes an impact.
- Volunteer. Exciting volunteer activities are happening throughout the month. Email Sara Campbell at scampbell@ti.com to learn more.
- Advocate. Share your support of United Way with your fellow retirees and encourage them to give or volunteer.
- Have fun. While the United Way campaign addresses serious community needs, it is also about having a great time volunteering with your fellow TIAA members.
