TIAA United Way campaign has been extended

Apr 15, 2020

With the escalating needs across our country and local communities because of the impact of COVID-19, the TI Alumni Association will host an online United Way giving campaign, April 17 to May 1. Recently retired TI Senior Vice President Greg Delagi and his wife, Beth, will chair the TIAA campaign.

The annual TIAA United Way campaign has become an important part of TI’s overall campaign, and this year’s campaign is more important than ever − with so many in our community struggling with homelessness, food insecurity and unemployment as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

United Way has moved quickly to lead COVID-19 relief efforts across the U.S. and provide emergency assistance to the hundreds of nonprofits on the front lines of this pandemic serving the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community. When considering your gift to United Way, you can give by check or stock, or you can contribute by credit card by clicking here and then clicking on "Continue as a Guest" and supplying your email address.  Checks can be mailed to:

  • United Way of Metropolitan Dallas
  • Attention: Annette Bradford
  • 1800 N Lamar Street
  • Dallas, TX 75202

To maximize the impact of TI retirees’ gifts, the TI Foundation is offering a special 2:1 match. This is how it will work:

  • For every dollar given during this special campaign, the TI Foundation will automatically contribute a dollar to the retiree’s local United Way, up to $5.2 million in total.
  • TI retirees can also take action to triple the impact of their contribution. Go to getinvolved.ti.com and request an additional TI Foundation match, which means that every $1 you give can become $3 to your local United Way.

If you have questions about the online United Way campaign, contact Sara Campbell at scampbell@ti.com or 469-200-9574.

And thank you to those who have already donated to the online TIAA United Way giving campaign. Your contribution will help fund critically important relief efforts during this COVID-19 crisis for the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community.
