TI Retirees Celebrate the Season at Gaylord Texan’s ICE! Display

Dec 19, 2024

What better way to kick off the holiday season than with a fun-filled day of fellowship and festive cheer? On Monday, December 16, about 20 Texas Instruments retirees boarded a bus for an unforgettable trip to the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. The highlight of the day? Visiting the spectacular ICE! display, featuring scenes from the beloved classic *Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer*.

This one-of-a-kind winter wonderland showcased breathtaking ice sculptures crafted by master artisans, bringing Rudolph and his friends to life in vivid color. From Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster to the Island of Misfit Toys, every detail captured the magic of the holidays. Attendees were thrilled to don oversized parkas to wander through the frozen masterpiece, kept at a chilly 9°F to preserve the intricate designs.

The trip wasn’t just about the icy fun—it was a chance to reconnect with old friends, share memories, and create new ones. The retirees also enjoyed a warm meal at the Gaylord and marveled at the resort’s dazzling holiday décor, including towering Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and festive music filling the air.

Here’s a glimpse of the joy and camaraderie that made this outing so special:
