On Sept. 14 we are heading to Fair Park to view the new Battle of the Alamo Exhibit at the Hall of State. The room-sized re-creation of the besieged Alamo compound features 2,000 hand-painted figures poised in battle, just as combatants were on the morning of March 6, 1836. We will catch a bus at the Texins Fitness Center at 9:45 a.m. and return around 1:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Learn more about the exhibit and register for the event.
