On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, 15 TIAA volunteers arrived at The Senior Source headquarters located on Harry Hines Boulevard to assemble emergency preparedness leaflets for the Medical Reserve Corps. Our Senior Source hostess had prepared the conference room with piles of leaflets and had also made ready coffee and snacks so we could be off to a great start. We put together the various emergency leaflets in the order specified and ended up filling several large boxes with the finished product – about 1,000 packets! The effort is most appreciated by the Medical Reserve Corps as they hand the packets out to clients throughout the year and we save them a great deal of work. The best part of our day was welcoming six new TIAA volunteers to join with us. We are very pleased to see new faces when we assemble for a volunteer work day and look forward to seeing even more new volunteers in the months to follow. Please register for an event on our TIAA website and help make a difference in the life of a needy organization.
