You just can't "beat" it as 18 TIAA members and guests learned again on January 29, 2019, at the Pocketbook Sandwich Theater. The Big Beats became one of the favorite groups of their time and they toured successfully for more than twenty years. Tuesday night they reminded us just how good that music was by including songs from Buddy Holly and The Crickets, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, George Strait, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley and the Rolling Stones. Rock music lovers (that's us!) still go wild over these music pioneers as we watched these old guys jump around and play for two hours.
