2024 TI/TIAA Charity Golf Tournament Raises More Than $26,000

Jun 27, 2024

The Annual TI/TIAA Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Waterview Golf Club in Rowlett, on June 24. The tournament, which serves as a kick-off to the TI United Way Campaign, had to be rescheduled this year because of the wet weather. The tournament raised $26,300 in donations and pledges to benefit The Senior Source and the United Way of Dallas. TI and the Texans Credit Union were underwriters for the tournament, making it possible for 100 percent of the donations to go directly to the non-profit agencies. TI golfers benefited the United Way, while the TIAA golfers and corporate sponsors benefited The Senior Source.

Stacey Malcolmson, President and CEO of The Senior Source, thanked golfers and donors for their contributions and highlighted the work of her agency in serving more than 23,000 senior citizens in the local area last year. Since its beginning in the year 2000, the tournament has raised more than $400,000 for The Senior Source.

Corporate Sponsors for this year’s tournament included:

Edward Jones & Co., Jerry Pierce, CFP, a Legend Sponsor.

UT Dallas, Development Department (Champion Sponsor)

SVTronics, Inc. (Masters Sponsor).

In a close contest, winning 1st Place (Net) was the TI team, TSP One:

Ryan Bullock, Justin Motes, Austin Carey, and Conner Moreno

Individual Winners were:

Closest to Pin #2: Zach Oldham

Closest to Pin #17: David Frazier

Longest Drive (Female) Laurie Ahrens

Longest Drive (Male) Ryan Bullock

A major factor in the success of this year’s result was the generous donations of our Individual donors, as well as the contributions of the golfers.
