The azaleas were in full bloom, everything was green and lush and the Bed & Breakfast was only a few blocks from downtown Jefferson as 12 TIAA members traveled to East Texas for a few days. We drove our own cars to Jefferson but did a lot of walking around outside in the beautiful spring weather. The B&B had wonderful breakfasts plus a wine hour every afternoons. Caddo Lake was like another world and cruising around the Cypress Bayou and listening to the Captain discuss this area was interesting, too. There was a lot of talking and laughing as we gathered around the "campfire" (the open area of the B&B) before dinner each night. Before we left we had an open discussion and everyone said what they thought of this overnight trip experience. It was unanimous that all had a delightful time, enjoyed being with other TIAA members, want to do it again and offered some places that might be nice to visit together.
