On July 1 TIAA members and guests went to Terrell and stocked up on the “jewels of the summer" (a.k.a. hand-picked, ripe peaches), fat blueberries, red tomatoes, blackberries, etc. at a well-known farm market store. We bought fresh, canned and frozen veggies, fruits, casseroles, jams, jellies and desserts; enjoyed a delicious BBQ sandwich and a Cider Slush and licked a homemade peach or strawberry ice cream cone before we headed back to TI at 2 pm.
