The TI Alumni Association held its tenth annual membership meeting Monday, May 11, in the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in downtown Dallas. Opened in 1989, the Meyerson is a landmark on the Dallas skyline. The international press has proclaimed the hall “world-class, rivaling the great concert halls of the world.” The first impression of this facility is the open space and the touches of elegance that are evident everywhere. The building — an architectural jewel — features unsurpassed acoustics. TIAA members enjoyed a free recital by Mary Preston, resident organist, on the Lay Family concert organ in the concert hall at 12:30 p.m. and then toured the fabulous building. Those who took the tour met in the lobby at 1 p.m. after the concert. Refreshments were served at 1:30 p.m. and the meeting began at 2 p.m. in the Horchow Hall. Attendees were able to renew their membership or join TIAA at the meeting.
