Tuesday, 3rd May 2016 – Weather permitting, we will take a bus to Fort Worth for a guided tour by Dr. Dottie Woodson, a noted horticulturist who appears on the Channel 5 Sunday Morning News program entitled “Gardening with Dotty”. These huge gardens are the oldest in Texas and are covered with dappled shade and vibrant splashes of color from both native and exotic plants that flourish in their 23 specialty gardens. (For those that wish, please specify on the registration form that you would like to ride in a golf cart. Others need to wear comfortable walking shoes.) We will leave at 9 am, learn from Dr. Woodson, enjoy lunch together (bring lunch money) at IHOP and return at 2 pm. Cost: members $15 and nonmembers $17. (If the weather doesn’t cooperate for this outdoor event, we will reschedule for a later time.)
