It’s time for our annual trip to stock up on the “jewels of the summer “ (ripe peaches) but don’t forget the fat blueberries, fresh blackberries, red tomatoes, etc.  We will leave the Texins Activity Center at 11 a.m.; shop in the store for locally-grown veggies or home-made jars of fruit or pieces of twenty different types of fudge; enjoy a hamburger and a Cider Slush at their outdoor pavilion restaurant (at your own expense) and savor a homemade peach or strawberry ice cream cone before we head back to TI at 2 p.m.  Be sure to bring your heavy-duty shopping bag.  Coolers will be available on the bus if you buy any of their frozen food.  Cost is $7 for members and $8 for nonmembers.
