Turandot, Arlington, TX, Saturday, April 13 –  The Dallas Opera will be performing Puccini’s famous opera, “Turandot”, on the Dallas Winspear stage while we’ll be watching it on the huge, high-definition screen hanging over the Cowboy Stadium’s playing field.  Enjoy this intriguing “battle of the sexes” as a barbarian prince tries to win the hand of Princess Turandot while failure means death.  This is their second simulcast and another chance for us to soak up some culture while sitting in comfortable seats and in comfortable clothing!  You can view their contemporary art collection, visit the gift store and sample a variety of concessions available for purchase at your own expense.  We will leave Texins Activity Center at 5:30 p.m., watch the opera at 7:30 p.m. and return about 11 p.m.  Parking and admission is free but the transportation cost is $10 for members and $11 for nonmembers. Tickets are limited so register early.
