Have you ever changed a person’s life in a single day? The Texas Ramp Project does it hundreds of times a year! They build wheelchair ramps for disabled or elderly people who can’t afford to buy one. In a few hours in a morning, they give these folks the freedom to leave their home again—the home where they want to remain but whose steps have imprisoned them.

We will form a construction team to build a wooden handicap ramp at a client’s home (location to be determined on the day of the event).  Tools and training will be provided to all volunteers. Work is not overly strenuous and can be considered light duty effort.  Be aware we will be there until to ramp is complete.

Please meet by 9:00 am at an assigned location by private vehicle (a Senior Source van will not be available for this event’s transportation). Volunteers will assist in the construction of a custom-made ramp – no construction skills required.  Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at our own expense). Please register your attendance below. You MUST register so we know how many volunteers to count on for this event.
