Canine Companions for Independence

The assistance dogs that are bred, raised and trained at this non-profit organization aren't just the ears, hands and legs of their human partners.  They're also goodwill ambassadors and often their best friends.  They open up new opportunities and new possibilities and spread incredible joy.  CCI unites children, adults and veterans with trained dogs in a powerful program that leads to greater independence and confidence.  TIAA will provide the bus so we can tour the Canine Companions at their Baylor Scott and White Kinkeade Campus and see a demonstration from one of their trainers  We will leave TI North Campus (Texins) at 11:00 am, eat lunch at  The Ranch (at our own expense) in Irving, take the campus tour of their facility at 1:30 pm and return around 3:00 pm.  Cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members
