The CitySquare Food Pantry provides food to thousands of low-income working families in Dallas each year and serves as an oasis of healthy food in the South Dallas food desert. CitySquare also fights childhood hunger through our afterschool and summer meal programs. Our summer meal program, Food on the Move, fights childhood hunger statewide by deploying CitySquare AmeriCorps members to deliver meals and provide enrichment activities to thousands of children residing in apartment communities.

Please join us at the Texins Activity Center to board a Senior Source bus at 8:30 am. Please register your attendance by logging onto TIAlumni.org and click on the event’s name from the “Calendar” tab then fill out your registration information. We need all to register in order to have sufficient transportation for all.

The food pantry is located at the Opportunity Center and is open to all income-qualifying Dallas County residents. Volunteers will assist CitySquare’s neighbors with shopping, restocking the pantry shelves, and by sorting inventory and food donations.  Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at our own expense) and arrive back to the Texins Activity Center around 1:30 pm.
