Experience Fair Park the easy way with a guided tour from a motorized, covered tram (weather permitting). Fair Park is one of the Dallas gems so let’s learn about the grand history of this 277-acre premier park from our guide, Craig Holcomb, President of Friends of Fair Park. Several structures made their debut on the grounds between 1900 and 1930 but it became nationally known in 1935 when it hosted the world’s fair commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Texas Republic.  It was designed in the Art Deco style and now stands as the only intact and unaltered pre-1950s world fair site in the US. See and hear about the legendary murals of the Centennial and Automobile buildings and watch the dancing waters of the esplanade. After the tour we will lunch at Matts El Rancho on your own.  Our bus will leave at 9 am and return around 2 pm. Cost is $15 for members and $17 for nonmembers. Space is limited so please make your reservations early.
