Texas-based Resistol hat company has been the leader in the western hat industry since 1927. Demand for their hats continues growing today and "the small hat factory" in Garland is the largest manufacturer of headwear in the world as a part of Hatco, Inc. All phases of production are still operated and controlled locally so as to ensure product of the highest quality – felt, straw or beaver “you'll always find Resistol has got you covered”. We will leave TI at 1:00 pm, enjoy a guided tour of the facility at 1:30 and return around 3:00. Cost for transportation will be $10 for members and $11 for nonmembers.
