The Wilkinson Center is a leading rescue and prevention agency for the working poor serving clients mainly in East and Southeast Dallas.  Services include food programs and educations programs for adults and families.

Adrienne O’Conner at Wilkinson Center is pleased that the TI group is coming on Aug. 1st. She said that it is 'sort of physical”- standing, walking around and some crouching as the children are putting on their shoes.' There is no heavy lifting or anything of that nature. The volunteers can take breaks, get water, etc. The time frame is 2½ hours. She said that a lot of the children are of middle school age so they can try on shoes themselves.

Please join us at the Texins Activity Center to board a Senior Source bus at 9:45 am.  Volunteers will help with the distribution of shoes to children in the annual shoe drive. Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) and arrive back to the Texins Activity Center by 1:30 pm.  Please register for this event
