Ham Orchards, Terrell, TX, – Let’s go stock up on the “jewels of the summer “ (hand-picked, ripe peaches), fat blueberries, red tomatoes, blackberries, etc. at a well-known farm market store. We will leave at 11 am; shop in the store for fresh, canned or frozen veggies, fruits, casseroles, jams, jellies and deserts; enjoy a delicious BBQ sandwich and a Cider Slush at their outdoor pavilion restaurant (at your own expense) and lick a homemade peach or strawberry ice cream cone before we head back to TI at 2 pm. Be sure to bring your shopping bag — coolers will be available on the bus if you buy any of their frozen food. Cost is $12 for members and $14 for nonmembers.
