First Monday Trade Days – Thursday is really the first day of the market and the least crowded so that’s when we will go. We’ll hop on a luxury passenger bus and head east on I20 to enjoy this market. It is the oldest, largest, continually-operating outdoors market in the USA and spans hundreds of acres with spaces for about 6,000 vendors. Wear comfortable clothing, use sunscreen and bring a hat. Scooter rentals are available in several areas at a reasonable price for those who want to ride the trails and tote their purchases the easy way. We’ll leave Texins at 10:00 am, roam around the grounds, munch at various food vendors on our own (be sure to try the home-made ice cream) and be back about 4:30 pm. Cost is $22 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
