It started as an empty lot. Community residents banded together five years ago to create Dolphin Heights Community Garden. Now residents can gather to grow fruits and vegetables and enjoy beautiful open spaces in their neighborhood.  Their children can come to the garden to learn about plant growth and help decide which fruits and vegetables to grow this summer.

The Community Garden needs our help – removing weeds and preparing the garden for spring planting. Bring sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat) and your gardening gloves to enjoy a morning in the fresh air. We will leave Texins Activity Center at 8:30 am on a bus supplied by The Senior Source and have lunch nearby (at our own expense) before returning to Texins about 1:30 pm.  Please register for this event by logging onto the TIAA website and clicking on “Event Registration Page”.
