Dallas-area retirees and TIAA members and as many as seven guests can learn and explore nature for free at the Trinity River Audubon Center (TRAC) during a TI Weekend event Friday, April 19 through Monday, April 22. Nestled in the Great Trinity Forest, TRAC offers a 120-acre outdoor classroom and a state-of-the-art nature center along the Trinity River. The forest supports a diverse community of plant and animal species and contains a unique mixture of bottomland hardwoods, wetlands and grasslands. Attendees and their guests are encouraged to bring picnic lunches to be enjoyed in TRAC’s many picnic areas and bikes to ride on TRAC’s scenic trails. During the TI weekend event, TRAC will provide arts and crafts projects for children. TRAC is located at 6500 Great Trinity Forest Way (S. Loop 12), Dallas, Texas 76217. The center's hours of operation during the TI Weekend event are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on April 19, 20 and 22 and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.
