A bus took TIAA memberss and their guests to Weatherford where we enjoyed educational stations, gardening demonstrations, a classic car show and a wine-and-cheese tasting.

We rode a TI bus to view a wonderful wildflower along the Bluebonnet Trails then visited the festival area featuring arts, crafts and souvenir booths, food booths, and live entertainment.

A live simulcast from the Dallas Winspear Opera House to the Cowboys Stadium was enjoyed by 33,000 people including our members as we watched Mozart’s most beloved opera, “The Magic Flute.”

Our members held their annual meeting at the Dallas Arboretum, elected new TIAA officers and toured the breath-taking Chihuly exhibits and the beautiful gardens afterwards.

TIAA members decided to visit a wildlife management and wetland system in Seagoville to learn how plants, not machines, cleanse the water from the East Fork of the Trinity River and feed it into Lake Lavon.

Our members and guests enjoyed this play at the Bath House Cultural Center located on White Rock Lake. It is a reenactment of the Battle at Shiloh during the Civil War by six Yankee and Confederate women using their own rules.

More than 40 TIAA members had a guided tour of the world's most innovative theater facility in the Dallas Arts District. The 80,000-square-foot building is twelve stories tall and seats between 600-1000.
Modern Painting Seminar and Exhibit, June 26 and 28, 2012
TIAA members attended a seminar on modern Mexican and 20th Century Western paintings followed by a guided tour at SMU’s Meadows Museum with a docent who explained the artistic themes in these pictures.
