Matching Funds Programs
Through the TI Foundation, TI retirees have long had the ability to match their donations to charitable organizations in education and arts, as well as United Way. Now, the TI Foundation board is expanding the scope of its matching gifts program to include any charitable organization, as long as the primary purpose of the organization is not partisan politics, religion or misaligned with TI’s corporate values. This change opens the program to thousands of charities that previously were not included. The yearly maximum cap is also being modified from $10,000 each to education, arts and United Way to a total $30,000 maximum for you to use the way you wish.
Match your volunteer time with money
TI employees and retirees in the U.S. can also match the volunteer hours they give to charitable organizations with a monetary donation from the TI Foundation. By participating in the TI Foundation Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP), retirees can request a matching contribution from the TI Foundation of $125 to an eligible nonprofit organization for every 10 hours volunteered, up to $1,000 per year. Eligible organizations are nonprofit, charitable organizations and K-12 schools, colleges and universities in the U.S.. or its territories. Note: the minimum number of hours has been reduced to ten.

The TI Foundation Matching Gift program and VIP operate on a calendar year (January 1 through December 31). Final submission of grant requests must be made by January 31 of the following year. Contributions must be confirmed by the receiving nonprofit organization by the last day of February of the following year.
Register your donation or volunteer hours at the TI Foundation website logging in with your seven-digit employee number (add leading zeros if yours is not seven digits long.) After completing the registration, send by either email or US mail to the receiving nonprofit organization the instructions for the organization to confirm the gift or hours. Paper forms are no longer accepted for requesting a match. You may make a request by phone (855-493-9862) to the Support Desk Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm CST.
