Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. We do not and will not sell your data to third parties.

This notice applies to information collected whether via TI, the TIAA website or by written applications. The types of personal information collected are Name, Address(s), Email address(s), Phone number(s) and Spousal membership info.

The Way We Use Information

You can be sure that we collect, keep and use your data responsibly and securely and only use it to share news and special offers with you or to help improve our services.

We use email addresses to answer the email we receive and to provide news from TI and TIAA, reminders of upcoming events, etc. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide those communications. Any financial information provided to join, to renew memberships or to pay for events is NOT retained on our database.

Your registration on this website provides some directory information that is accessible online to other members via a password-protected login. You may limit the amount of contact information displayed.

We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you with an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The green padlock icon in the address bar shows that your connection is authenticated and encrypted, hence safeguarded from eavesdroppers and man-in-the-middle attacks.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You can access and maintain your personally identifiable information that we collect by clicking on the My Account menu on the upper right portion of our Home page and then selecting the Edit TIAA Member Profile option. This procedure requires your password-protected login in order to safeguard your information.

You may also correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by clicking on the Contact Us option on our website, explaining the problem and sending the email to our office. To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
