White Rock Center of Hope

10021 Garland Rd A, Dallas, TX 75218

White Rock Center of Hope provides Basic Needs assistance to address today’s needs (Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and Financial Assistance to prevent eviction and utility disconnection) and Personalized Empowerment (Financial Education and Employment Services) to help build a better tomorrow. They serve five zip code areas of East Dallas including 75214, 75218, 75223, 75228, and 75238. Families may come monthly for food assistance and once every three months (with season change) to select four outfits per family member. Over 75,000 pieces of clothing are distributed annually in addition to the clothing that they share with other area agencies. Household items and bedding are distributed as needed.  Financial assistance is provided one time in a twelve-month period to help families avoid eviction and loss of utilities. They are able to provide assistance to more than 730 people in need.

Two Saturdays per month are dedicated to a large food assistance program.  TIAA will be handing out food items to clients as they drive through the parking lot.  A long line of automobiles waits their turn, and many volunteers are needed to make the event run smoothly. Please join us at the Texins Fitness Center to board a Senior Source bus at 8:30 am.  Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) and arrive back to the Texins Fitness Center around 1:30 pm. Please register online for this event. We need all to register in order to have sufficient transportation for all.

Also, if you have not volunteered with TIAA in the past 12 months, please complete the volunteer form for our partner Senior Source at the following link PRIOR TO VOLUNTEER DATE.  Thank you.   https://www.tfaforms.com/4804645
