UTD/TIAA Joint Seminar-“Aging Mind” series
The TIAA has partnered with the Center of Vital Longevity to present the Spring Lecture focusing on: “The Role of Emerging Technologies in Supporting the Health, Well-Being, Independence, and Quality of Life of Older People”, which will be presented by Dr. Walter R. Boot, PhD, Professor of Psychology at Florida State University.
This talk will provide a sampling of studies that have examined the impact of existing and emerging technologies, developed using an iterative, user-centered design process, and the impact of technology-based interventions on cognitive, behavioral, and psychosocial outcomes. This research has found that through careful design, scalable, useful, and usable technology solutions can provide tremendous benefits to older people.
