Network of Community Ministries is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization with a service area that encompasses the entirety of the 14 zip codes within RISD. Founded in 1985, Network began during an economic downturn when several churches and community organizations came together to form an alliance to assist families in need.
Network is a non-denominational, community-based organization serving over 26,000 individuals through over 195,000 units of service. Current programming includes:
- Basic Needs Assistance
- Mobile Food Pantry
- Seniors’ Net
- Stabilization Programs
Our TIAA volunteers will assist the Network of Community Ministries the first Monday (May 11, 2026) after the US Postal Services gathers stable food items from Richardson community homes. Donated food items will be received at the Network dock and we will sort and stock the food items into the distribution storage racks. Please plan to drive to the Network location and arrive by 9:30 am as the facility is very close to the Texas Instruments site. Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense). Please register online for this event. You MUST register so we know how many volunteers to count on for this event.
