Bureau of Printing and Engraving Tour—Fort Worth, TX

Located in Fort Worth, Texas, the BEP’s Western Currency Facility produces more than half of the nation’s currency order.  Visitors can see where billions of dollars are printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor! Before or after the free self-guided tour, the experience includes an informative theater film, and visitors have the opportunity to walk through two floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing.  Also located in the visitor center is the Moneyfactory Gift Shop where the public can purchase souvenir items including uncut currency sheets and other specialty currency products.  Rest rooms and vending machines are available.

We will depart from the Texins Fitness Center at 10:30 am and eat lunch (at your own expense) at 54^th St. Restaurant (9251 Rain Lily Rd). We’ll then head to the Bureau to arrive at 1:30 for a briefing for the 2:00 tour.  We’ll return to Texins around 5:00 pm depending on traffic. The cost is $10.00. The following items are strictly prohibited and are not to be brought in the Bureau. These must be left on the bus. Coat and package check services are not available. Prescriptions for medical needs are permitted.
