The TI Alumni Association held its 12th annual membership meeting Wednesday, May 18, at the Dallas Museum of Art in downtown Dallas. The meeting included a presentation about the DMA, followed by the TIAA business meeting, and then a chance to visit the special exhibit: Art of the American Indians: The Thaw Collection, and enjoy other Art Galleries at the DMA. Refreshments were available from 12:30 p.m., in the upstairs Café area, followed by the business meeting in the Horchow Auditorium, which began at 1:15 p.m. and ended around 2:30 p.m. The TIAA Membership Team had a table where new members could join or current members could renew their membership. Information was also available on other TIAA activities, including travel and volunteer projects.
The featured speaker Bonnie Pitman, The Eugene McDermott Director of the DMA, gave an overview of the DMA with emphasis of the contributions of TI and TI Founders, especially Eugene McDermott and his widow, Margaret McDermott. Mrs. McDermott attended, spoke to the audience and received a Lifetime Membership to TIAA.
Betty Purkey, TIAA President, updated members on the progress of TIAA, followed by the business meeting to elect officers. Members voted on election of TIAA officers for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. The following were recommended by the Nominating Committee and approved by unanimous vote:

- Gary Stopani, Treasurer
