Once again, TI has kindly invited TIAA to visit the Dallas Arboretum as it kicks off the annual “Autumn at the Dallas Arboretum" festival (from September 23 to October 31) with one of the most spectacular pumpkin and gourd displays in the world. The garden has transformed itself via thousands of blazing-colored florals as 75,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash come together to form the nationally acclaimed storybook Pumpkin Village. TI retirees and other current TIAA members, with up to five guests, may gain free admission by showing their TI retiree badge or a copy of TIAA's newsletter but free admission does not include access to the Children's Garden. Parking is $15 per car and is available in front of the main entrance or just a couple blocks north at the new parking garage. However, discounted parking tickets can be obtained via the Arboretum's website for $9 before going; and, remember, mornings are normally less crowded than afternoons. Attendees will also receive a 10 percent discount on purchases in the gift shop and on family memberships. TI is limited on the number of attendees on Saturdays and Sundays so they have requested that retirees attend from Monday thru Friday if possible. Please register by going to TIAA's online Calendar, selecting the appropriate week that you want to visit, completing the registration form and clicking on Continue. A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly.
