TIAA 2026 United Way campaign: April 20 – May 8

The Texas Instruments United Way campaign begins this week! Please see a special message from TIAA campaign chair and retiree, Cynthia Trochu, about how you can get involved this year through giving and volunteering. Learn more here .

TIAA members,

The Texas Instruments 2026 United Way campaign is launching April 20 through May 8 and I’m honored to be chairing the TI Alumni Association campaign.

Texas Instruments and United Way enjoy a shared heritage, and giving to the agency has been part of TI’s culture for seven decades. TI founder J. Erik Jonsson joined with other city leaders in the early 1960s to create the modern-day United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and he served as one its earliest board chairs. More broadly speaking, one of TI’s ambitions is to be a company we are proud to work for and would want as a neighbor. United Way is an important partner to help us live that ambition.

United Way is at the center of addressing our region’s greatest needs. I choose to invest in United Way because they understand the needs across all our communities, set strategic goals, and then deploy resources and bring people together to address those needs. From 2009-2014, I served on the campaign cabinet of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and co-chaired the United Way leadership giving program at TI in 2014 and 2015, as well as serving on the Board for two years recently. It’s impressive to see up close how much United Way improves education, income and health outcomes in Dallas with good stewardship of our gifts and volunteer time. And how TI employees and retirees volunteer so much to help change lives.

Please join me in giving and volunteering during the 2026 campaign.
