TIAA United Way 2016 Campaign

Oct 21, 2016

The TI Alumni Association’s United Way campaign will take place this year from October 24 through November 9.

You are probably already aware that TI has a strong commitment to our communities, which includes a 50+year relationship with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. TIAA has its own United Way campaign, which provides an easy way for retirees to continue their loyal support of our communities.  And, when TIAA members make a pledge during the TIAA United Way campaign, these dollars are matched dollar for dollar by the TI Foundation (up to $10,000 per retiree).

During the TIAA campaign, you can choose between two ways to pledge:

  • Give online through TIAA’s United Way website.
  • Send a check payable to United Way to TIAA United Way, P.O. Box 740181, Dallas, TX 75374. (Please be sure to include your name and address on your check.)

When you give, please consider directing your contribution to the United Way Community Impact Fund. This means you’re giving to a strategic, vetted portfolio of agencies that United Way measures and holds accountable. Your commitment will help United Way and its partners address vital community issues, provide critically needed services and create long- lasting change.

Pledging to United Way is one of the best ways you can invest in making our communities stronger, and volunteering is too. When you volunteer 10 or more hours for United Way or its partner agencies or another nonprofit, please submit your volunteer hours to the TI Foundation’s Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) website. The TI Foundation provides the nonprofit $125 for your first 10 volunteer hours (and $12.50 per hour after that, up to 80 hours annually).  That could mean up to $1,000 to the nonprofits that you support, and you can see firsthand the difference you make!

Kate Newman, TIAA Chair of the United Way 2016 Campaigns, says “Please join us in supporting the TIAA United Way campaign with your money and time. Together, we can change lives forever.”
