The Purpose of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Texas Instruments Alumni Association
As with most formal organizations, the TIAA Constitution is a set of fundamental principles according to which the organization is governed. These rules together make up what the entity is and concern different levels within the organization. Since TIAA is a nonprofit organization our bylaws are the rules and methods that our organization follows to insure legality and productivity. Nonprofit bylaws, by themselves, are more of an internal document that specifies the election process of officers, meeting protocol, the role of the various committees, etc.
As an organization grows and matures, revisions are occasionally made to the Constitution and Bylaws. Each revision that has been made by TIAA can be reviewed by clicking on the appropriate edition below.
