United Way has been a long-time partner of Texas Instruments to build stronger communities through its giving and volunteering programs. The three areas United Way focuses on -- education, income and health – are considered the basic building blocks of opportunity that many of us have often taken for granted. But if the last year of living through the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us one thing, it is this: Our financial stability and our health are precious, and too many of our neighbors have been impacted.
This year’s annual campaign will run from May 3 – 21, and will include virtual ways to give, volunteer and learn in those three areas to lift up those in need, including kids who are suffering learning loss because of disruptions to their education. And we are very fortunate to have Terri West lead this year’s TIAA campaign. Terri retired from TI a few years ago as a senior vice president and currently serves as chair of the TI Foundation. You’ll soon be hearing from her on why and how TIAA members can give and volunteer during the campaign.
In the meantime, watch this video to understand what United Way in Dallas is doing to lift up those who are suffering the most.
