Dorothy served 16 years with TI as an Executive / Staff Secretary for various groups, Packaging in the Process Automation Group  and the Silicon Technology Development Group in Kilby Center.  She has a B.S. in Secondary Education and retired from teaching for the birth of her children.   Returning to the work force she came back as a Medical Transcriptionist for 4.5 years. Hoping to return to the field on retirement, she kept her membership in the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists and served on the ASTM committee EC 31.21.04 on record format.  Attending various national meetings, the trend became apparent that voice recognition and the cell phone along with the push for an electronic medical record would eliminate transcription.

She currently serves on the City of Garland Library Board and her Neighborhood Association.
