The White Rock Center of Hope is a community coalition of individuals, civic and social organizations, and over 50 Member Churches united to provide emergency aid and steps toward self-sufficiency to their neighbors in the White Rock Lake area. We volunteered to help with sorting food, working in the thrift shop and other tasks around the center.

TIAA members volunteered at the Crossroads Community Services (CCS) center located in downtown Dallas. We helped size, sort and hang clothing; match shoe donations; and restock clothing and food supply rooms.
We returned to plant the sustainable community garden that will produce watermelon, cantaloupe, eggplant, hot and mild peppers and herbs this summer.

Afterwards, we will have lunch at our own expense and return about 1:30 p.m.
