Crossroads Community Services
April 9, 2019 - Crossroads Community Services
4500 S Cockrell Hill Rd., Dallas, TX 75236
One of Crossroads’ primary goals is to ensure that all people in Dallas County have ready access to nourishing foods. Crossroads’ second primary goal is to provide life skills education that can help clients accomplish goals that are important to them. Crossroads provides clothing to in-house pantry clients as well as clients from The Stewpot. And, Crossroads partners with educational and medical institutions in Dallas County in order to seek more holistic solutions to deeply entrenched social and economic problems. Here's a look at what's planned for 2019:
On January 2, 2019, Crossroads will move into a new home at the Pollock Campus on Cockrell Hill Road. From this new facility, we will increase food distribution to over 6.9 million pounds, providing 5.75 million meals and generating over $13.8 million in client savings.
TIAA Volunteers will assist Crossroads “neighbors” in selecting grocery items and/or helping in the clothing distribution area. Afterwards, we will have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) and arrive back to the Texins Fitness Center by 1:30 pm.
Please join us at the Texins Fitness Center to board a Senior Source bus at 8:30 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Please register your attendance by logging onto TIAlumni.org and click on the event’s name from the “Calendar” tab then fill out your registration information.
Reminder - You must be logged in to the website to register.
TI Security requires everyone who enters the site to have either a TI retiree badge or other identification.
Please be prepared to show either upon request.
