UNT NITA Conference-Mock Trials DATE-VENUE CHANGE
VENUE CHANGE - NOT AT SMU
UNT Dallas College of Law provides the “NITA Trial Program Dallas” seminar during June of each year for practicing lawyers across the Nation. This seminar allows lawyers the opportunity to practice court presentation skills in front of volunteers who serve as jury members.
You will arrive at 8:30 a.m. at the UNT College of Law. You will be provided a continental breakfast with coffee and juice. There will be morning and afternoon breaks where snacks will be available. Lunch is also provided. The day usually ends by 4:30pm—5:00 p.m. Please plan to park using your private vehicle in the UNT Dallas College of Law parking lot (a Senior Source van will not be available for this event’s transportation). The day usually ends by 4:30pm—5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be provided breakfast, lunch and snacks and will be paid $10 for their time.
You, the jurors, will sit in a courtroom, in the jury box and participate in these jury trials. You will render a verdict. Thereafter, you will provide feedback about the participants’ case presentation, delivery of the facts, and performance. This feedback is an invaluable feature of this trial program and is not successful without YOU. Please register your attendance by filling out the registration form below.
Important – You will need to follow UNT guidelines for COVID.
