Healthy Lifestyles for Seniors, Cliff Temple Baptist Church

Parkinson’s disease is an incurable neurodegenerative disorder that causes tremor of the hands, arms, legs, jaw and face; slowness of movement; and impaired balance and coordination.  Parkinson’s disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer’s disease.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.

Though Parkinson’s and MS remain incurable, there are medications and surgical procedures that can help alleviate some of the symptoms. Exercise is a key factor in the fight against PD.  Come learn about resources available in the DFW area that can help friends and families cope with those living with these diseases.
