Bringing STEM to Students

Feb 23, 2017

WalkSTEM is a new program being launched this spring in the Dallas Arts District and in NorthPark Center planned by talkStem. They are looking for energetic, open-minded, and creative people with an interest in promoting STEM among youth in engaging ways by making connections to the world around us. The walks are inspired by the National Museum of Mathematics in New York. The Museum’s Founder and Director, Glen Whitney, has designed a series of site-specific math walks across the country. Dr Whitney trained docents at NorthPark by leading them on a math walk in NorthPark highlighting the math that is embedded in the significant art collection in the mall. If you are interested in learning more about this program and would like to apply to be a walkSTEM@Northpark docent, please click here and fill in the requested information at the end of the file and someone from the talkSTEM team will contact you.
