The annual TI retiree luncheon will take place on October 4 at the Mesquite Convention Center. A wonderful program is in store as we recognize more than 50 years of TI innovation in consumer electronics.
Our TI speaker, Tracy Hamilton, will update us on TI’s strategy in Education Technology (Ed Tech), with its increased emphasis on software and robotics. Tracy has worked at TI since 2005 and is a leader on Ed Tech’s Product Development Team where she is responsible for the Program Management and Product Definition functions. She started her association with TI in 1988 when she was named a TI Scholar, and then worked for a summer in TI’s former defense business on heat-seeking missile technology.
We will also showcase ways in which TI’s education and robotics technology is being used in college recruiting, as well as in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs. We expect several members of TI’s New Employees Initiative to join us again this year.
The doors to the center will open at 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. In addition to lunch, the famous warm cookies and coffee will be available in the morning. After lunch, we will be entertained by the “Big Beats” band.
Invitation letters, with details on how to register, were mailed in late August. So, make plans to join us for an entertaining time and enjoy visiting with friends and former associates. If you did not receive a copy of the invitation, please call the TIAA office at: 214-567-8444. Be sure to register by September 21.
