2015 TIAA Annual Meeting to be held at Arboretum

The TIAA Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm  at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, 8525 Garland Rd. Refreshments will be provided and buses will run from the Texins Activity Center on the Expressway Site at 12:30 pm. The bus will return to the Texins parking lot at 4:00 pm.. Parking will be available at the Arboretum for those who wish to drive.

The meeting will be held in the Rosine Hall, near the entry gate, with a reception and refreshments beginning at 1:00 pm. The meeting itself will begin at 1:30 pm with remarks by TIAA President Larry James, followed by remarks by TI’s Chief Citizenship Officer, Trisha Cunningham, our featured speaker.

Tricia has more than 28 years of experience working with TI in global marketing, communications and public affairs at the product to corporate levels, as well as experience in community leadership roles. She was named the Corporate Social Responsibility Executive of the Year by the Center for Nonprofit Management, in 2012.

Mark your calendar and don’t miss this opportunity to see all the changes at the Arboretum in full bloom, and visit with friends. Following the business meeting to elect officers, enjoy seeing the gardens, including the new Children’s Garden.

The Nominating Committee will propose the following officers for the one-year term beginning July 1: President, Larry James; Executive VP, Tom Boedecker; Treasurer, Kate Newman; and Secretary, Dorothy McAllister.

Admission, parking, and bus transportation are all free with your TI badge, the postcard invitation mailed to TIAA members in early May or a copy of the Second Quarter TIAA newsletter. Each member may bring one guest. Nonmembers, who are TI retirees or former TIers, may join at the meeting – the first year is free for anyone who is not a former member.
