Texas Instruments has made it easier for U.S.-based TI retirees to make a difference in our communities with new, lowered minimums for TI’s Matching Gifts and Volunteer Incentive Programs. The minimums are retroactive to January 1, 2015, for this year’s contributions of dollars and volunteer hours that meet program guidelines.
Matching Gifts Program – U.S. retirees’ contributions of from $25 to as much as $10,000 per year will be matched to eligible arts and culture organizations and to schools, universities or other educational organizations in the U.S. or its territories.
Volunteer Incentive Program – With a minimum of 10 volunteer hours with each eligible organization, you can request a VIP grant for $125 to that organization. Plus, if you volunteer over 10 hours with that organization, every hour is matched at $12.50 per hour. TI retirees in the U.S. can match up to 80 volunteer hours per calendar year, earning up to $1,000 per year in grants to their favorite nonprofit organizations.
Eligible organizations for the VIP match are nonprofit, charitable organizations and K-12 schools, colleges and universities in the U.S. or its territories. The maximum annual contribution that a single organization may receive under this program is $15,000.
"These programs can really boost the impact of TI retirees giving and volunteering," said Andy Smith, executive director of the TI Foundation, which funds these benefits. "It's a great way for TI retirees to get additional resources to those nonprofit organizations that they care about the most."
