2014 TIAA Annual Meeting

May 2, 2014

The 2014 Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 22 from 1:00 pm to 3 pm on the University of Texas at Dallas Campus, in the new Edith O' Donnell Arts & Technology Building (ATC). Refreshments will be provided and buses will run from the Texins Activity Center parking lot at 12:30 pm. Parking will be available in the garage adjacent to the ATC building for those who want to drive. The building is off Drive A on the east side of the campus.

TIAA President, George Consolver, will conduct the meeting and highlight TIAA activities and events. In his comments, he will recognize the 50th anniversary of The Founder’s Building; the first building on the UT Dallas campus. It was made possible by TI Founders: Cecil Green, Erik Jonsson, and Eugene McDermott.

Dr. Tom Linehan, Director of the Institute for Interactive Arts and Engineering and the founder of the Arts and Technology programs (ATEC) at UT Dallas, will demonstrate how arts and technology are coming together to create new fields of study. We will also hear about the latest developments in biomedical engineering from Dr. Robert Rennaker, head of the Department of Bioengineering and executive director of the Texas Biomedical Device Center. Dr. Rennaker is a former Marine, with a passion for using technology to help veterans with injuries. Following the election of officers, tours will be available to see some of the work being done in this amazing building.
